Footscray Art Prize

This is a biennial prize held each odd year.

The Footscray Art Prize is a biennial visual art prize for contemporary artworks across multiple platforms and disciplines. It is open for entries nationally and does not have a theme. Established in 2016, it contributes to Footscray's reputation as a thriving cultural hub that supports and fosters the arts, and provides an opportunity to celebrate this artistic vibrancy and creativity. 

Prizes:

The Footscray Art Prize has three categories.

Footscray Art Prize (main) $20,000

Local Artist Acquisition Prize $10,000

Emerging Artist Prize (FCAC Residency) $2,000.

Young Artist Prize, Primary school - $500

Young Artist Prize, Secondary school - $500

Venue: The exhibition of shortlisted works will be held at Footscray Community Arts Centre.
