Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council is inviting artists to express interest in creating a mural on the pylons of the Queens Bridge over the Queanbeyan River. The painting of murals on the pylons of the Queens Bridge will complement the work that is currently being undertaken in Queen Elizabeth Park and along the riverfront.

This is an exciting project and all artists from any locality can register their interest for this public art project. The artwork will be contemporary, large in scale and highly visible and Council encourages artists to consider the early history of Queanbeyan including the city’s then main street Macquoid Street, and the original bridge spanning the Queanbeyan River. Council will fund works up to $10,000.
