The Westmead Hospital Art Prize has been established to support the art program for Westmead Hospital, the largest hospital in NSW. Artworks are highly valued by the many patients, visitors and staff in the hospital. Entries are welcomed from any artist, from beginners to professionals, including Westmead Hospital staff, patients or clients and their families, schools and members of the local and broader community.
Eligibility: Any artist from beginners to professionals, including staff, patients or clients, schools, and members of the local and broader community.
All works selected as a finalist in the Small Artworks and Photography categories will become the property of Westmead Hospital, for permanent display. Only the winners of the Large Artworks category will be acquired.

Eligibility: Any artist from beginners to professionals, including staff, patients or clients, schools, and members of the local and broader community.
There are three categories for the Prize:
- Large Artworks - Between 100 x 100cm (min.) and up to 150 x 150cm (max.)
- Small Artworks - Between 30 x 40cm (min.) and up to 90 x 90cm (max.)
- Photographs - Between 30 x 40cm (min.) and up to 90 x 90cm (max.)
All works selected as a finalist in the Small Artworks and Photography categories will become the property of Westmead Hospital, for permanent display. Only the winners of the Large Artworks category will be acquired.
Large Artworks
- 1st prize - $2,000
- 2nd prize - $1,000
- 3rd prize - $500
Small Artworks
- 1st prize - $1,500
- 2nd prize - $750
- 3rd prize - $400
Photography
- 1st prize - $1,000
- 2nd prize - $500
- 3rd prize - $250
