The Australian Academy of Design Poster Prize is an annual competition. A scholarship to study at the Australian Academy of Design in the Bachelor of Design Arts degree will be awarded to the overall winner from Categories B and C. You are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly. Text/no text/painting/drawing/mixed media are all acceptable.

Theme in 2011 - This Is Me.

Illustrate how public transport, particularly Metro, is part of your way of life, part of your family’s way of life and part of your city’s way of life. Keep in mind, a successful poster needs to be able to advertise the message from a distance, with the use of type and image. The aim is to capture people’s attention! 

Prizes

The Australian Academy of Design Poster Prize on offer are:

Tertiary (25 years and under including TAFE/tertiary students)
  • First Place: $1000 cash prize from Metro Trains
  • Second Place: $500 cash prize from Metro Trains
  • Third Place: $250 cash prize from Metro Trains

Secondary (Years 10-12 secondary school students)

  • First Place: $1000 cash prize from Metro Trains
  • Second Place: $500 cash Prize from Metro Trains
  • Third Place: $250 cash prize from Metro Trains
