RAAW! Residency Aspiring Arts Writer

M16 Artspace offers visual arts infrastructure and development opportunities are provided to artists, arts organisations and the community through a range of programs across the gallery, studios and workshops.

M16 Artspace is proud to announce NEW PRIZE to be awarded in 2014 to emerging professionals with serious intent. 2014 marks the inaugural year that M16 Artspace will offer the Residency Aspiring Arts Writer (RAAW).

RAAW will provide a local emerging arts writer the opportunity to develop their writing practice, investigate art practice at M16 Artspace and the Canberra region, publish their work and contribute to the critical discussion of Australian contemporary art.

Through this program M16 Artspace will aid the growth of critical writing around contemporary art in Canberra, by providing participants with a studio, professional development and mentorship and networking opportunities, directly linking writers and publishers.

Mentor: Terence Maloon, former Senior Curator of the Art Gallery of New South Wales and current Director of the Drill Hall Gallery.

Venue: M16 Artspace 21 Blaxland Crescent Griffith ACT
